Many of my beloved close family members and friends are transgender. They are some of the most caring, honest, sweet, and creative people I know. It breaks my heart and angers me to see the hatred and bigotry aimed at transgender people by persons who are apparently acting out of ignorance or downright hate. And it is worse that even some in government positions are engaged in this shameful scapegoating. This song goes out to all in the transgender community. I love you. Bless and protect you.
