Pamela Jo is a life-long musician with broad and eclectic musical interests. Born and raised on a family farm in the foothills of the Appalachians, Pamela Jo was surrounded by music from childhood. Some of her earliest memories are of herself as a five-year-old singing along with 78-rpm records, or with her dad playing guitar, or in the church choir.
Pamela Jo performs original compositions, original arrangements of traditional Americana roots music, and occasional covers. Pamela Jo grew up immersed in gospel, old-time, and bluegrass music, through which she developed a love of rich harmony vocals. In college she studied music theory and played guitar and bass in a jazz ensemble. Pamela Jo has a performing style that blends old-time, folk, and jazz, with vocals that are sweet and pure, which she accompanies on guitar, banjo, and ukulele.
Pamela Jo has performed at the Florida Folk Festival and various other festivals throughout Florida. She is a member of the Celtic Conundrum band (http://celticconundrum.com), and is also available for solo performances.
